Practices covered by the exception to exemption
The instrument covers individuals operating local or foreign law practices as sole proprietors, and firms of multiple individuals operating specified legal practices, including joint law ventures. Definitions are linked to the Legal Profession Act. It also revokes the earlier 2009 regulations, so its effect concerns how a general registration exemption interacts with these particular legal-service structures.
