Specific requirements and implications
The guide distinguishes an exemption from maintaining a register from a controller's obligation to provide information to another non-exempt entity. Winding up or striking off does not by itself create an exemption. Annual notices keep existing entries under review. Foreign companies registered from 16 June 2025 submit controller information with their registration application, and later central updates follow within two business days of changes to the company's own register.
