Executing deeds without a seal
New sections make a common seal optional. An LLP may execute a document expressed as a deed through signatures by at least two partners, or by one partner in the presence of an attesting witness. The Act states that the execution provisions apply whether or not the LLP has a seal, separating the method of signing from ownership of a seal.
