Group Secretaries: Professional Numbers in 2002

The 2002 professional-number arrangement supported in-house secretaries serving a corporate group.

Source checked · 11 October 2026 Historical document

What the document covers

The direction explains access arrangements during the early Bizfile rollout, including professional numbers for particular transactions. The CPF PIN references describe obsolete system-era instructions.

Specific requirements and implications

The arrangement required authorisation identifying the group companies and the people permitted to act. A professional number did not remove restrictions reserving particular filings for prescribed professionals. Employees acting through it needed the company secretary's consent where specified. The annex provided authorisation and undertaking requirements. Its CPF PIN and professional-number access model is historical and must not be confused with present Corppass permissions or modern corporate-service-provider registration.
