Exceptions to the first commencement date
The notification brings the 2014 miscellaneous amendments Act into force on 1 July 2015 except for an expressly listed set of sections and subsections. That exclusion list includes whole sections and selected paragraphs within others. Consequently the date cannot be applied indiscriminately to every amendment in the Act; the notice's operative distinction is between activated and reserved provisions.
