Death extract and search
A Singapore death extract is available to specified relatives, a legal guardian or their solicitor. Prepare the recorded name, sex, death date and NRIC or death-certificate number. If information is unavailable, request a record search rather than assuming overseas records are held by ICA. An extract is a separate service after a lost/damaged certificate or an expired initial download window. Follow the official fee and download conditions linked below.
Extract fees and download window
A death extract costs S$40 and is normally processed within one week. Download within 30 days of approval. A record search normally takes three weeks: S$40 for a period on or after 1 January 1986, or S$50 for every month/part-month before that date. Search and extract are separate charges; fees are non-refundable.
