Certification and automatic registration
After a doctor certifies a stillbirth online, registration takes place automatically and a digital certificate is issued. If the system is unavailable, the doctor can provide a Confirmation of Stillbirth and subsequently complete online certification.
Download and save
Registration and the digital stillbirth certificate are free. Parents download it from LifeSG within 30 days using the stillbirth certificate/confirmation number, mother’s identification number and stillbirth date. Save the digital file for future use.
Related arrangements
The confirmation document can support funeral, burial or cremation-related arrangements if the digital certificate is unavailable. Parents wishing to name the child can use ICA’s linked commemorative birth-certificate application. That is distinct from the digital stillbirth certificate.
