When and how to apply
Apply online when an ICA-issued visit pass has 14 days or less remaining. Walk-ins are not accepted. Prepare the passport biodata scan and D/E number. Family cases may need relationship evidence; medical cases may need Form V75 endorsed by a Singapore-registered doctor. A required sponsor must be a citizen/PR aged at least 21 with Singpass. The official page lists the nationalities/documents requiring sponsorship; immediate citizen/PR family ties also trigger it.
Fees, timing and examples
Usual processing is five working days; some cases take longer. A granted extension reaching 90 days’ stay costs S$40, charged again at each later 90-day block; a S$30 visa fee may apply. For example, an extension reaching 180 days triggers another S$40. Pay on time: the extension takes effect only after payment. Approval and duration are discretionary. Check the notified stay deadline and depart before the existing pass expires if no extension is granted. For technical failure, send ICA the error screenshot and identifying/application details.
