Prepare before travelling
Each traveller, including a child, needs an individually issued travel document. Except for Singapore passport holders, ensure at least six months’ passport validity. Check whether the particular nationality and travel document need a visa, submit SGAC if required and review recent yellow-fever travel. Short-term visitors should have sufficient funds and evidence of onward travel.
Three different documents
A visa permits travel to seek entry; it does not guarantee admission. SGAC is an arrival/health declaration. After clearance, the e-Pass sets the actual last day of stay. A visa’s expiry date is not the visitor’s stay deadline.
| Document | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Visa | Required travel authorisation where applicable |
| SG Arrival Card | Arrival information and health declaration |
| e-Pass | Granted visit duration and last day of stay |
At the checkpoint and after arrival
Provide the required biometrics and make separate goods or cash declarations where applicable. Retrieve the e-Pass and check its deadline immediately. Apply online for an extension if needed; approval is discretionary. Short-Term Visit Pass holders must not undertake prohibited business, professional or paid employment activities or overstay.
