CRS and FATCA Return Status: Accepted Errors and CSV Listings

CRS/FATCA status searches distinguish acceptance from acceptance with errors; error CSVs split into files of up to 500 records.

Source checked · 11 October 2026 · Document date: 16 October 2024

Search the correct reporting return

Open More > AEOI > View CRS / FATCA Return Status in myTax Portal. Tax agents select client ID type and enter its tax reference before Next. Choose CRS or FATCA, the Reporting Year and a search type: acknowledgement number, Message Ref ID or submission date. For identifiers enter the relevant keyword; for dates enter From/To. The guide says searches can reach five years before the relevant reporting years.

Four statuses and error records

Pending means received but awaiting processing; Accepted means processed and accepted. Accepted with error means processed/accepted with errors; Rejected means processed but rejected. Error details are available under Notices/Letters. The 16 October 2024 edition also adds View Error Listings to download CSV details for accepted-with-error or rejected returns. Acceptance with error should not be reported simply as a clean accepted return.

Download every error-list file

Each CSV is capped at 500 records, so multiple files appear when errors/rejections exceed that number. Select Download for each required file. A popup handles the download; close it after each download to successfully retrieve additional files. The limit belongs to an individual error file, not the total number of report records.
