Corporate Income Tax: Filing, Deductions and Compliance

IRAS brings together the main guidance for a company’s income tax lifecycle, from estimating income to paying an assessment.

Preparing and filing

The branch distinguishes Estimated Chargeable Income filing from the annual Form C-S, Form C-S (Lite) or Form C return. It also links to tax computations, record retention, company tax residence and Certificates of Residence. These are separate tasks: selecting a return form does not replace the need to work out taxable income or maintain supporting records.

Finding the relevant treatment

Income and deduction guidance covers foreign income, business expenses, allowances, reliefs and unused tax items. Separate sections address dormant companies, business closure and industry-specific treatment. Compliance material explains voluntary disclosure, tax governance and responses to IRAS. Use the detailed page for the relevant issue before applying a general rule to an unusual arrangement.
