Reporting Platform Earnings, Expenses and Other Business Income

IRAS explains how platform workers report prefilled and non-prefilled income in Form B/B1, while keeping other business activities separate.

Source checked · 11 October 2026

Use the correct business category

Verify prefilled revenue and clarify differences with the operator; amended operator data can take about five working days to appear. For income not prefilled, use the sole-proprietorship or self-employment entry and select the delivery-services or taxi/private-hire-driver business type. Report other work, such as tutoring or insurance agency, in a separate entry using its appropriate business description. Include other taxable sources in their own sections.

Statements, expenses and retention

Revenue up to S$200,000 uses two lines; higher revenue uses four. Allowable expenses reduce adjusted profit or appear in the expenses line, depending on the statement. Qualifying fixed expense deductions can replace actual expense claims, but proper records remain compulsory and must be retained for at least five years. Filing ordinarily runs from 1 March to 18 April when a filing notice or the stated income thresholds apply. Paper Form B and B1 have different field locations detailed in the original.
