Key requirements
For machines, retain soft-meter printouts, PL-R, PL-R1 and PL-R2 with supporting documents, completed audit checklists and the hard-meter seal register. Keep investigations explaining variances in the reconciliations. For tombola and lotteries, preserve sales and cash-prize records. The retention clock runs after the end of the gaming-machine or tax accounting period, rather than from the date a return was submitted. Store records so the reported turnover and duty can be reconstructed. Failure to keep the required accounts or records can lead to a court fine of up to S$5,000.
