Company Tax Notices: Finding Letters and Acknowledgements

Find corporate notices and acknowledgements, identify unread documents and interpret the special calendar-year convention for residence certificates.

Source checked · 11 October 2026 · Document date: 6 May 2022

Open notices for the right taxpayer

Log in to myTax Portal and select Notices/ Letters > Corporate Tax. The company guide then shows the list of documents. Select a category filter such as Notices, or All to display the available categories together. Click a document row to open the notice or acknowledgement.

Unread markers and authorised years

The number at the top left of each document category counts unread documents. A blue line at the left of a document marks it as unread. The displayed documents concern Years of Assessment that the user is authorised to view; the guide does not promise access to every historical year. A category count is a reading indicator rather than a statement of tax payable.

Residence certificates use a different year convention

From 31 July 2019, the Year of Assessment displayed for a Certificate of Residence corresponds to the preceding calendar year covered by the certificate. For example, YA 2020 identifies a certificate for calendar year 2019. Before that change, the displayed YA referred to the YA for which the certificate was applied. Keep the certificate’s actual calendar year distinct from the list label when checking treaty documents.

Edition and assistance

This company/tax-agent guide is dated 6 May 2022. It provides myTax Mail and 1800 356 8622 for enquiries. Its purpose is retrieving and reading documents; it does not explain every notice type, appeal deadline or how to change a certificate.
