Applicant, fees and lifecycle
The employer applies; most cases take three weeks. Application is S$105 per person, issuance S$225, and an applicable Multiple Journey Visa S$30.
The six stages are application for IPA or rejection, compliant arrival, employer issuance for a notification letter, registration if required, digital-work-pass setup and receipt by the candidate or authorised recipients.
The candidate need not be in Singapore during application and should travel only after approval. MOM will not extend a visit pass expiring before TEP issuance.
Submission and status
Obtain written consent, consult MOM’s video on entering education details, apply and upload documents through EP eService, and first update the preceding three years of organisation turnover. Pay S$105 by GIRO, Visa, Mastercard or Amex.
Check status after three weeks. MOM emails a further-document request within three weeks if needed. Under Work Passes choose the application and Submit documents or View details, or use the online form specified in the email.
Print and send the holder’s approved IPA, a pre-approved single-entry visa allowing six months for entry and issuance. Satisfy current travel requirements before arrival.
Issuance and notification letter
With the candidate in Singapore, issue within six months of IPA through EP eService in myMOM and pay S$225 plus any applicable S$30 by GIRO, Visa, Mastercard or Amex. Issuance is immediate.
Both parties receive the notification letter by email. It permits work and travel while awaiting the card, states whether registration is required and lasts one month from issue. Request an extension if more registration time is needed.
Issuance particulars and documents
Provide passport, Singapore contacts, current STVP/immigration-pass details and a Singapore residential address meeting housing requirements. Add a residential/office delivery address and up to three recipients’ mobile numbers and NRIC/FIN/passport numbers.
PDF uploads may include the arrival passport page, completed medical examination/declaration and IPA declaration. The employer declaration must be signed by authorised HR personnel or an employee at least at managerial level.
Extension while awaiting medical results
Request an STVP extension seven to fourteen days before expiry when medical results are pending, with a doctor’s memo stating the results-collection date. For expiry on 17 February, submit from 4 to 10 February. Late requests may incur overstay fines.
Registration and digital work pass
If required by the notification letter, book EPSC registration within two weeks of issuance. Bring the original passport, appointment and notification letters and a local-number phone with Singpass and SGWorkPass installed. Fingerprints, photograph and Singpass registration are completed.
On registration day, download SGWorkPass and sign in with Singpass to view the digital work pass and employment information, status, expiry and services before the card arrives. Candidates not needing EPSC registration should also set up their digital pass.
Delivery and identification
Delivery is within five working days after registration and verification, or after verification alone if registration is unnecessary. Recipients get SMS or email at least one working day before delivery. The candidate shows a passport or digital work pass; an authorised recipient shows their own NRIC, FIN or passport.
If not received within five days, check correct document uploads. The employer or EA can also check delivery details through EP eService.
Two failed deliveries
Collect at EPSC three working days after the second failed attempt, without an appointment. The candidate brings the original passport or digital work pass and notification letter. A representative brings employer authorisation, their own NRIC or passport, the candidate’s original passport and notification letter.
