The agreement’s parties and scope
The Word template records client and SEP identities, contact details, business identifiers and the contract period. Describe each assignment, the expected deliverable, due date and acceptance criteria. For the sample video project, quality requirements include an agreed storyline, subtitles and sound; the parties must specify their own real acceptance standard.
Fees, milestones and variation
Specify each assignment’s amount, payment method and due date or agreed period after completion. The sample S$3,000 and S$4,000 assignments total S$7,000; they illustrate staged pricing, not a mandatory tariff. Record how changes to scope, timing or fees are agreed rather than relying on oral assumptions.
Ending the assignment and resolving a dispute
Agree written notice and consequences for termination or postponement. The sample one-week notice and example 30-day payment period are negotiable examples, not statutory defaults. The dispute clause can provide mediation or a Small Claims Tribunals claim where eligible. Both parties sign and date the final terms.
Additional terms to consider
The form invites project-specific terms on deposits, insurance, confidentiality, copyright/IP, delay, governing law, subcontracting, warranties, indemnities and liability limits. This is a contract-for-service template; calling someone an SEP does not settle their legal employment status.
