Seminars, conferences and gatherings
A foreigner directly involved in organising or conducting a seminar, conference, workshop or gathering may qualify where the event relates directly or indirectly to religious beliefs or religion generally, relates to a race or community generally, or is cause-related or directed towards a political end. Covered roles include a speaker, moderator, facilitator or trainer; the list is not exhaustive.
Religious and journalism assignments
Foreign religious workers giving talks directly or indirectly related to religion are covered. Foreign journalists, reporters and accompanying crew covering an event or writing a story in Singapore are also covered when their work is not supported or sponsored by a Singapore Government agency.
Sponsorship and maximum duration
The candidate must be sponsored by an organisation or society based in Singapore. The pass allows qualifying assignments of up to 60 days in Singapore. Establish both the assignment’s eligibility and the sponsor’s suitability before proceeding to the application page.
