Pass features
Employers apply for eligible semi-skilled/unskilled trainees or students. There is no minimum salary, validity is up to six months, and renewal and family passes are unavailable. Employers may face quota/levy and must provide medical insurance.
Related overseas-company employees cannot obtain another TWP until six months after the previous one expires or is cancelled. Foreign students can receive TWP only once. Relevant legislation includes Conditions of Work Pass and the Employment of Foreign Manpower Act.
Lifecycle
Check eligibility and documents, obtain IPA before arrival, satisfy travel requirements and arrange security bond, medical insurance with online details and applicable work-injury compensation insurance. Issue after arrival, register if required and receive the card within five working days after registration/verification. Replace lost/damaged/stolen cards and cancel when employment ends.
