Annual notification timing
Declare annual salary by 31 January. The source says passes issued by 31 December 2024 join the 2026 exercise, while new passes issued from 1 January 2025 first join in 2027. For issue on 1 May 2024, declare 2025 salary by 31 January 2026; for issue on 1 September 2025, declare 2026 salary by 31 January 2027. Required holders receive email instructions and must respond promptly. The 2026 exercise has ended; the next runs 1–31 January 2027.
Fixed annual salary calculation
For each employer, multiply fixed monthly salary by months worked in the calendar year, then add. The example uses Company A at S$22,500 for January–April (S$90,000), two months unemployed, and B at S$30,000 for July–December (S$180,000): S$270,000. The source describes those employment dates as 2023 but labels the total as Year 2024; the arithmetic is clear, but the year labels conflict. Use the actual reporting calendar year, not that inconsistent label. Cancel PEP if retention requirements are no longer met.
Employment and local contact
Report starting, ending or changing employment within one week. Holder uses their designated form; employer/EA uses the representative form. Notify a changed local contact-person’s details within seven days.
Residential address and mobile
The holder updates within two weeks of a change through EP eService, immediately effective. Ensure the address meets housing requirements, then print and keep with the card the acknowledgement. Failure can result in penalties.
Passport number and expiry
Update passport number and expiry immediately through EP eService; written requests for these two fields are no longer accepted. Automated checkpoint gates can be used four working days after updating. Other personal particulars require the online request with supporting documents and normally take seven working days, with outcome emailed.
Evidence for other particulars
The passport supports all listed changes. Name changes also need a deed poll, marriage certificate or equivalent proof; birth date or birth/origin country changes need a birth certificate showing date, birth country and origin; marital status needs marriage/divorce records; Malaysian ID changes need both sides of the identity card. Nationality/citizenship and sex list the passport as support.
Approved application amendments
Use the official form for changes to qualification or work location after approval. Keeping annual notification separate from immediate employment changes avoids missing a short reporting deadline.
