Plan the hire and assess requirements
MOM’s MDW Work Permit section brings together the requirements for both employer and helper, security bonds and insurance. Its key-facts and eligibility pages introduce the pass; the employer guide covers rest days, well-being, contracts, salary, overseas leave and repatriation. Levy guidance separately addresses rates, concessions, payment and waivers.
Apply, renew and manage changes
Use the application instructions for the steps before and after arrival. Lower-income employers or senior citizens may have a Joint Income or Sponsorship Scheme route. Separate pages cover rejection appeals, renewal appeals, cancellation, card replacement and short extensions. The updates page covers employer/helper information, addresses, family-member representation, feedback and care arrangements during an employer’s overseas absence.
Transfers and choosing an agency
A direct transfer involves the current and new employers; an alternative allows an employment agency to take over responsibilities while finding a new employer. The section also explains customer ratings for MDW-placement agencies and the Advance Placement Scheme, including participating agencies and eldercare-trained helpers.
Resources and online services
The publications hub provides educational articles, guides and videos for employers. The service directory includes domestic-helper and confinement-nanny transactions, WP Online, status checks, appointments and levy payments. Select the transaction-specific guide before using the service.
