Before hiring
MOM’s migrant-worker Work Permit section begins with key facts and sector-specific requirements. Review the source-country eligibility and relevant industry rules, as well as the foreign-worker quota and levy guidance, before planning a hire. The application page explains submission, status checks and issuance.
Approval, renewal and changes
Separate pages cover appealing an application rejection, renewing a permit and seeking renewal reconsideration when a worker is ineligible. During employment, use the instructions for changes to company or worker details, short permit extensions, card replacement and cancellation. The cancellation process is a distinct transaction when the worker stops working for the employer.
Housing, leave and well-being
The housing section covers approved accommodation, housing standards and worker-address updates. Overseas-leave guidance covers home leave, levy-waiver arrangements and workers who do not return. The recreation and well-being resources include recreation centres, publications and materials for migrant workers. These welfare topics sit alongside the permit administration requirements.
Select the correct online service
MOM separately explains recent and upcoming Work Permit eService enhancements. The services directory links to WP Online, status checks, business-activity declarations and appointments, with additional services for individual transactions. Check the relevant transaction page and its current service instructions before submitting.
