Under the standard EP or S Pass route, eligible family members include a legally married spouse and unmarried children under 21, including legally adopted children.
Check the sponsor’s salary and company sponsorship requirements. Other main-pass routes and overseas ICT cases require separate assessment.
MOM guidance ↗Start with each applicant’s passport particulars page. Add the marriage certificate, birth certificate showing the parents’ names, or adoption records as applicable.
Our document preparation requirements include English translation and notarisation of non-English documents, at the client’s cost. Applicable children also need vaccination verification.
MOM guidance ↗A Dependant’s Pass supports eligible family members’ residence in Singapore. LOC means Letter of Consent.
Under the business-owner route, eligible Dependant’s Pass holders must receive the LOC before operating their business. The residence pass alone does not provide that authorisation.
MOM guidance ↗Eligible roles include a sole proprietor, partner, company director holding at least 30% of the shares, or member of an ACRA-registered company limited by guarantee.
Check remaining pass validity and other requirements before applying. Business registration and LOC authorisation are separate steps.
MOM guidance ↗A first LOC lasts up to one year from issue or until the Dependant’s Pass expires, whichever is earlier. Renewals can run until the pass expiry date.
An LOC ceases to be valid when the residence pass expires or is cancelled, or the business becomes inactive. An inactive business still requires LOC cancellation.
MOM guidance ↗Most new LOC applications are processed within four weeks. Check status after three weeks; additional information requests can extend processing.
First request permission to apply, then submit through the relevant eService or an appointed employment agent (EA). Begin operating only after receiving the LOC.
