Eligibility goes beyond stopping business
An applicant company must not have started business or must have ceased operations. It must also have no assets, contingent assets, liabilities or contingent liabilities, and must not be involved in ongoing or pending court proceedings in Singapore or elsewhere. Pending regulatory action or disciplinary proceedings are additional barriers, distinguishing striking off from a process for resolving outstanding obligations.
