Flexible capital and segregated portfolios
The note explains flexible share issuance and redemption and the ability to distribute dividends from capital. An umbrella VCC can contain portfolios with segregated assets and liabilities. Shared service providers may bring efficiencies across the umbrella and sub-funds. Both open-ended and closed-end strategies are contemplated; these are fund-structure features rather than the ordinary company's capital model.
