New registers and increased penalties
The FAQ explains that foreign companies must maintain nominee director records as well as nominee shareholder records, and that information in both registers must be filed centrally. Nominee status is publicly visible. It also states a S$25,000 maximum fine for each register-related breach. These points supplement the new controller-register timing requirement rather than replacing it.
