Who EP Is For and Who Applies
EP is for eligible foreign professionals, managers and executives with Singapore job offers. The employer or appointed employment agent applies. An overseas company without a Singapore-registered office needs a local sponsor.
Salary, Duration and Other Features
Current non-financial salary thresholds start at S$5,600 and rise with age to S$10,700 for ages 45 and above; financial services require more. Initial passes last up to two years; renewals up to three. Eligible experienced tech professionals in shortage roles may qualify for five years. EP has no foreign-worker quota or levy. The Application Journey
Check eligibility, recruitment advertising/fair consideration and documents before applying. Approval produces an IPA; review entry requirements. After arrival, issue the pass and register fingerprints/photo if required. Card delivery is five working days after registration or document verification. Later changes, expiry, lost cards or employment ending require updates, renewal, replacement or cancellation.
Turning the Key Facts into a Practical Plan
Create a tracking sheet naming the person who submits, the person preparing employer information, the candidate-document reviewer and the contact monitoring notices. Record submission, IPA approval and issuance separately. Where applicable, organise recruitment records, job duties, identity and qualification evidence into separate folders and check consistent names. This organisational method reduces communication gaps; it is not an additional statutory condition.

The two- and three-year limits do not guarantee identical durations for all candidates. Check the actual dates in approval and issuance records.
