Documents by family or visit purpose

Family applications use ICA’s checklist for the applicant, non-applying spouse and sponsor where relevant: identity and travel documents, relationship records, education and employment/income evidence. Non-English documents require acceptable official translations. Accompanying parents/grandparents also prepare the student’s birth record, parents’ birth/household and marriage records, relevant custody documents and a school letter. Graduates provide educational certificates and transcripts. A visitor seeking to give birth needs a local doctor’s expected-delivery/complications letter and an embassy letter confirming the child’s nationality and travel-document arrangements.

Fees, time and renewal

Application fee: S$45. Issuance: S$60, plus S$30 for a Multiple Journey Visa where applicable. Fees are non-refundable. Most complete applications take six weeks; a citizen’s foreign spouse may take up to six months, or six weeks after pre-marriage PMLA. Some cases take longer. Apply to renew at least three months before expiry; renewed validity starts on issuance and unused validity is not carried forward. Applicants added to the form must review and make their own declarations before submission.
