Select by submission date
For citizenship applications submitted on or after 26 June 2024, sign in to MyICA to check status. Older applications use the applicable legacy enquiry route. Use the same case/account and follow any outstanding document or formalities request; starting another application is not a status enquiry.
Purpose and preparation
Choose Enquire Application Status, matching the applicant category and submission date. The service separates foreign students under 15 and pre-26 June 2024 submissions.
Choose the correct operation
Do not use Apply/Retrieve Draft to enquire about an existing case. A principle approval has final conditions; follow the tasks/outcome rather than assuming citizenship has already been completed.
