Online payment and receipt
Online modes include supported internet banking, Visa/Mastercard/AMEX and the unique PayNow QR generated for the payment. Do not pay to ICA’s UEN. Use one method per application; on failure cancel and retry rather than changing methods. Processing starts after successful payment. Save/print the receipt pop-up before closing; it cannot be reprinted after closure through that pop-up.
Counter payment and requesting a refund
Counter modes include NETS, NETS QR/FlashPay, Visa/Mastercard and supported contactless wallets. Send refund requests through the relevant ICA service’s contact channel with application number, payment reference and evidence such as an error screenshot. A request is subject to approval; a non-refundable service fee does not become refundable merely because a request is made.
How an approved refund is returned
Card refunds return to the card used; PayNow refunds use the account linked to NRIC/FIN. A bank transfer may require Part II of the DCA form and bank endorsement for joint/trust accounts, certain non-resident bank arrangements or accounts opened with another ID. Follow the instructions issued on approval.
