Where sponsorship applies
A local sponsor is required for government/government-aided/independent schools and ITE. The sponsor must be a citizen or PR aged at least 21; a company or organisation cannot sponsor. Where the student has an eligible citizen/PR parent or step-parent, that person must act as sponsor.
Student and sponsor tasks
Obtain the school registration acknowledgement. Complete the student/parent particulars using its reference; the sponsor then completes the required undertakings through the appropriate ICA service. Sponsorship does not replace school admission or guarantee approval.
