When to transfer
A PR with a valid REP who obtains a new travel document must update the association from the old document to the new one. This transfers the remaining REP validity; it is not a renewal for extra years.
Procedure and processing
Use the official electronic-transfer service with current passport particulars. Transfer is free and generally takes three working days excluding submission day. Check the completed result and keep a copy for travel; foreign authorities may request it. A lost foreign passport follows the separate loss-report and embassy replacement route first.
