Key steps and distinctions
The Data Link-up Service obtains salary details for NRIC-holder employees from CPF Board and prefills the Submit Employment Income Records service. Employers must verify and update records before submitting; prefilled information is not a substitute for a complete payroll reconciliation. The document identifies personal particulars, ordinary and additional wages, donations to CDAC, SINDA and the Eurasian Community Fund, and employee CPF contributions. Wages exclude amounts that do not attract CPF, so taxable income outside CPF coverage still needs attention. CPF EZPay through the employee database or Electronic Standing Instruction can prefill all four categories. Blank-form, FTP and mobile submissions prefill only three because the CPF system does not automatically compute the employee-contribution field for those modes. Do not read an unfilled contribution as a zero contribution or assume all remuneration is already present. Compare payroll records, separately report relevant non-CPF income and complete missing deductions before approval. The guide recommends the employee-database mode for fuller prefill and explains a data-transfer convenience, not a change to the employer’s responsibility for accurate AIS reporting.
