myTax Portal: Contact Details and Notification Preferences

The 15 October 2025 FAQ explains mobile and email notifications, mailing-address priority and property-owner notification settings.

Source checked · 11 October 2026 · Document date: 15 Oct 2025

Which mobile number receives SMS

IRAS sends SMS notifications to the mobile number registered with Singpass. Provide a preferred mobile number only if IRAS should use a different number. If you have no Singapore mobile number, register an email address with IRAS to receive tax updates instead.

Residential address or separate mailing address

If your residential address appears in myTax Portal, you need not supply a mailing address: paper notices go to the residential address. Supply a separate mailing address only if you prefer an alternative destination.

Changing an NRIC holder’s ICA address

IRAS updates the residential address using ICA’s OSCARS information, but retains any existing separate mailing address. Paper notices continue to go to that mailing address. Update it promptly when it changes; remove it if it is now the same as the residential address.

When saved address changes appear

After selecting Save Changes, a new residential or mailing address may take up to 10 minutes to appear. Refresh the page to see the updated information rather than assuming the save failed immediately.

Available notification modes

The FAQ lists SMS, email, both SMS and email, and paper notices to the residential or mailing address. You need valid contact details for the selected channel; SMS requires a valid Singapore mobile number. Selecting a mode without its corresponding details does not satisfy that requirement.

Primary and secondary property owners

A primary owner receives property-tax notifications by default without further action. A secondary owner can select the relevant properties through View Property List under property tax to receive their notifications.

Consolidated property notifications

The property-tax option for consolidated notifications lets an owner receive one notification for all their properties using the preferred notification mode, rather than separate notifications for each property.

Source edition

The five-page IRAS FAQ was published on 15 October 2025. Pages 2–4 contain the eight questions; the first and last pages identify the document and its date. Portal labels and these instructions describe that edition and may change subsequently.
