Key steps and distinctions
Payroll vendors seeking AIS listing must integrate directly with IRAS and complete annual sandbox validation. Select the scenario matching the supported combination of IR8A, Appendix 8A and Appendix 8B; vendors with several products test the widest supported combination. Set A reproduces the prescribed fictitious data and is checked against the expected JSON. Set B contains at least 20 IR8A records and five records of each supported appendix, with valid fictitious employee identifiers. Where supported, Set C tests positive and negative amendments and Set D tests revisions that overwrite previously submitted information, including appendices. Employers and payroll service providers using in-house software follow a shorter route centred on random test data and self-verification. Record the acknowledgement numbers and include them in the complete Self-Verification Form so IRAS can retrieve the submissions. Test values are not CPF-calculation references. Production should default bypassWarning to false and allow a change only after the user acknowledges warnings. The guide permits production subscription from 1 October 2026 and requires onboarding by 30 November 2026 after IRAS confirms successful validation. These dates belong to this particular testing cycle.
