Obtain approvals and identify the site
New construction, redevelopment, alterations or demolition affecting layout can require an application. Obtain the relevant planning approvals and approved building plans first. Select the correct development type, confirm the site boundary and match the URA application. A new house number, new house-and-unit numbers and additional units at an existing address are different choices. Clearly mark proposed numbers and boundaries on the plans rather than submitting an ambiguous site description.
Changes, withdrawal and confirmation
Withdrawal can remove a whole house and its units, all units while retaining the house, or selected units. Applicants, owners and representatives must provide the appropriate particulars and contact details. Once allotted, numbers must be displayed conspicuously. The guide warns that saved drafts are not received applications and remain available only 30 days after last editing. Confirm submission acknowledgement and approval; new numbering can withdraw former unit numbers, so keep old and new records reconciled.
