Application and allocation
The number should relate to the main entrance or frontage, follow the existing street sequence and avoid confusion. Complete applications normally take four weeks. Approval produces a Certificate of Numbering, which the applicant should download within 30 days. Requesting an earlier certificate copy attracts a S$20 search fee per property.
Display and withdrawal obligations
Display the allotted number prominently and follow the statutory display requirements. Using an unapproved number or failing to display an assigned number is an offence. Apply to withdraw numbers that are no longer needed, including those invalidated by demolition. Numbers are allocated by sequence rather than personal preference for a particular lucky number.
