IPCs: Submitting the BIPS Service Giving Declaration

An IPC’s BIPS service-giving declaration requires an authorised Approver, the correct calendar year and a completed Submit to IRAS action.

Source checked · 11 October 2026 · Document date: 6 May 2022

Who may submit and where

The 6 May 2022 IPC guide states that only staff authorised as Approver can upload and submit a BIPS Service Giving Declaration Form to IRAS. After logging in to myTax Portal, open More > Submit Document. The guide is an IPC document-submission workflow, not a full statement of BIPS tax-deduction eligibility.

Choose the calendar year and attach the file

At Filing For, select IPC. At Calendar Year, choose the year for the service-giving declaration. Use Select File to choose and upload the document, observing the maximum file size and accepted types indicated by the service. Then select Submit to IRAS. The guide refers to the on-screen limits without giving a universal numerical limit in its written instructions.

Verify submission before leaving

After submission, the Document Status table at the bottom records the submission date and acknowledgement number. If a file is selected but Submit to IRAS has not been clicked, trying to leave through a menu tab triggers a warning. Leaving at that point means the document will not be processed. Check the status-table entry before navigating away; enquiries go to myTax Mail or 1800 356 8622 in this edition.
