Scope and eligibility
This HDB route concerns renting out or changing tenancy of commercial premises or associated living quarters. Requirements depend on assignment, business mode, next-of-kin transfer, trade change or subletting.
Application steps
- Select the correct transaction and obtain authorisation from existing and proposed parties
- prepare its specific corporate, identity and layout records
- submit through the permitted filer
- respond to HDB verification and pay the applicable administrative fee.
Documents to prepare
- All-party authorisation stating the application type
- identities and current ACRA records
- corporate resolutions/constitutional records as applicable
- family proof for kin transfers
- detailed layouts and operating proposals for selected trades or partial subletting
- living-quarter occupier passes when requested.
Attachment filenames must be no longer than 130 characters and use letters, digits, underscores or hyphens. Spaces are converted to underscores. Check the accepted file formats and size for each upload field in the official application.

Important details and examples
For living-quarter occupiers, requested passes must have at least six months' validity. The listed construction, manufacturing, marine and process-sector Work Permit occupiers must be Malaysian. HDB may request more records beyond the checklist. Processing is estimated within 14 working days after verification and documents.
