How the pilot works
APS began in August 2016 to improve matching and speed placement for employers needing caregiving. Participating agencies may bring a specified number of helpers to Singapore before finding employers. Employers can interview them face to face, and placement can be quicker because the helper is already here. Employers must qualify for the MDW Concessionary Levy scheme to use APS.
Eldercare-trained helpers
Employers needing eldercare training can approach agencies in the MOH Eldercarer MDW pilot, which uses APS. Eligible employers may obtain a Caregivers Training Grant offset of up to S$200 for training under that scheme and can also use other approved further-training courses.
