When an appeal is justified
Read the rejection advisory in FDW eService and appeal only if new information or corrective action resolves its issues. Repeating an unchanged case will not alter the outcome. Only the prospective employer or employment agent that filed the application may enquire or appeal; the candidate and others cannot do so.
Use the stated application-date deadline
The detailed instruction requires an appeal within 45 days from the application date, not on the application day itself. Log in the following day or later. Missing the deadline requires a new application assessed against current criteria; do not assume a new 45-day period starts when the rejection is received.
Evidence and outcome
In FDW eService select Appeal, provide reasons and attach up to five supporting documents. MOM contacts the applicant for further clarification or evidence if needed. Use the service to check status and print the outcome letter. Ninety per cent of appeals are processed within two weeks, and the outcome is sent to the email supplied in the original application.
