Decide whether an appeal can change the assessment
Read the rejection advisory in EP eService, or the rejection letter for a manual application. Appeal only if you can resolve its stated issues and provide new information; repeating the same case will not change the outcome. Use the Self-Assessment Tool and the advisory’s recommended steps to assess whether the candidate now qualifies.
Who can appeal and when
The employer or authorised third party that submitted the original application must submit the appeal or make enquiries. MOM does not accept these from the candidate or other persons. Submit within three months of rejection; after that period a fresh application is required.
Submit only the evidence requested
Appeal through EP eService. Include supporting documents and remarks when required; unnecessary additions may lengthen processing. MOM says no supporting documents or remarks are needed when the candidate now meets the salary requirement, sufficient quota is available, or outstanding issues have been resolved, such as qualification/verification inconsistencies, advertising requirements or IRAS tax matters. Respond through the specified online form if MOM later emails a further-document request.
Track the outcome
Use EP eService to check the appeal status and print its outcome letter. MOM states that 85% of appeals are processed within six weeks, so six weeks is not a guarantee for every case.
