Review the refusal reason
If the helper is ineligible for renewal, check the non-renewal letter before appealing. Appeals without new information are often unsuccessful. Submit the appropriate online form with supporting documents: one route is for an employer or someone such as a family member authorised by the employer; another is for an employment agent.
Timing and lawful stay
Processing takes about three weeks depending on complexity. Submit early: approaching or past expiry does not confer priority. Maintain a valid pass for the helper’s stay while awaiting a decision; the source states an overstaying fine of up to S$500 where valid stay is absent.
