Read the qualification instructions first
The illustrated application explains that declaring a qualification is not mandatory unless C2 points are needed to pass COMPASS or the selected shortage occupation requires it. If declaring, follow EP verification rules; certificates and school letters alone are not acceptable proof. Where an awarding institution is not in the accredited dropdown, proof must establish both authenticity and local-government recognition.
Enter institution, level and faculty
Use the institution’s latest name where relevant and select it when it appears. If it cannot be found, the guide permits choosing not to declare, subject to the points/occupation requirements above. Enter the qualification level shown on the certificate or proof; if faculty is absent there, use the transcript. The awarding institution and country/region should match the actual qualification.
Check the MOM verification reference
The report must carry an MOM verification reference number. If missing, ask the screening company to update it. The sample identifies candidate/passport details, nationality, awarding institution/country, study period, level, faculty and study mode, then separately confirms authenticity and accreditation. Its green results illustrate two different checks; one is not a substitute for the other.
When a receipt can be submitted
Only if verification is still pending after 14 working days and the awarding institution is in the application’s accredited-institution dropdown may the service receipt replace the proof at application. After work-pass approval, the candidate may enter and have the pass issued; this guide says the completed proof need not subsequently be sent to MOM. A later false qualification still leads to revocation and departure. The receipt route is not a general exemption for an unlisted institution.
Select method and upload
Select Background screening company, enter the reference exactly as on the report/receipt or provided by the company, and upload the proof. The illustrated upload accepts JPEG, PNG or PDF with total size no more than 2MB. Follow any changed limits actually displayed in the current official form.
