Cancellation deadline
The employer or EA cancels within one week after the last training day. Request up to fourteen days ahead: for 15 February cancellation, submit from 1 February. Cancel within one week of permanent departure unless expired.
An expired pass needs no cancellation, but a holder still in Singapore needs an STVP. Cancellation is immediate except for advance requests.
Employer duties before cancellation
Give reasonable repatriation notice and settle outstanding employment matters, including salary. Buy airfare with checked baggage and pay connecting transport to the home country’s international entry port or region nearest the hometown, unless the holder agrees in writing to pay.
Before booking, check airline health/visa requirements and home-country embassy entry requirements or MFA travel guides.
Cancellation and lawful stay
Cancel through EP eService in myMOM. Request an STVP for up to thirty days from application if still in Singapore. Both parties receive it by email; show it and a valid passport on departure.
No work is permitted after cancellation, including while awaiting departure. Cut the card in half and discard it. Maintain valid stay throughout or face a fine; overstaying and employing a foreigner without a valid work pass are also criminal offences.
