When cancellation is required
Cancel when the holder no longer needs the LTVP and plans to leave Singapore to live elsewhere. Request up to fourteen days ahead: for cancellation on 15 February, submit from 1 February. Cancel within one week after permanent departure unless already expired.
The employer or EA cancels. PEP or EntrePass holders may cancel their family’s LTVPs themselves or appoint an EA. Cancellation is immediate except for advance requests. Any associated LOC or Work Permit is also cancelled.
When separate cancellation is unnecessary
Separate cancellation is unnecessary if the pass has expired, although a holder still in Singapore needs an STVP; if the main work pass is being cancelled, since family passes cancel together; or if the holder becomes a Singapore permanent resident.
Departure costs and entry requirements
The employer pays for airfare with checked baggage and all connecting transport to an international entry port in the holder’s home country or the region nearest their hometown, unless the holder agrees in writing to bear the cost.
Before booking, check airline boarding requirements such as health or visas and destination embassy entry requirements, or MFA travel guides. Non-compliance can prevent boarding.
Cancellation and a 30-day short-term stay
Cancel through EP eService in myMOM. For a holder still in Singapore, request an STVP granting up to thirty days from the application date. Overstaying without a valid pass incurs a fine.
Both parties receive the STVP by email. Show it with a valid passport when leaving Singapore. Cut the cancelled card in half and discard it.
