Document period and use
This article explains the 2022 document. Its original dates, wage figures and examples are retained as historical context; later orders and wage schedules take precedence for subsequent payroll periods.
Requirement and licence consequences
Licensed cleaning businesses were to achieve two WSQ modules by 31 December 2022: one endorsed WSH module and one endorsed core module. The report warned of financial penalties up to S$5,000, suspension/revocation, or inability to renew where training was not met. Schedule workers with an approved provider and keep evidence of attainment.
Training selection and recognised equivalents
The approved list groups modules by PWM job: general cleaning; multi-skilled machine operation; mechanical driving; supervision; and truck driving. It spans workplace safety, emergency response, accident investigation, cleaning chemicals, floors, furniture, public hygiene, glass, washrooms, robotics, customer service and on-the-job training. A course must match the role and required competency level.
Cleaning supervisors may use specified bizSAFE Level 2 risk-management training or WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH for the WSH component where accepted. A Class 4/5 driving licence counts as one training module for truck drivers. These equivalents do not remove other required modules.
