Cleaning PWM Approved WSQ Modules: January 2024 List

List coverage and selection

The 3 January 2024 list applies to office/commercial, F&B and conservancy cleaning. For each job group it identifies Technical Skills and Competencies (TSC), course/competency-unit description, proficiency level, TSC code, and whether the module is the required WSH selection or a core elective. Confirm current course availability with an approved training organisation.

Training selection and recognised equivalents

The approved list groups modules by PWM job: general cleaning; multi-skilled machine operation; mechanical driving; supervision; and truck driving. It spans workplace safety, emergency response, accident investigation, cleaning chemicals, floors, furniture, public hygiene, glass, washrooms, robotics, customer service and on-the-job training. A course must match the role and required competency level.

Cleaning supervisors may use specified bizSAFE Level 2 risk-management training or WSQ Advanced Certificate in WSH for the WSH component where accepted. A Class 4/5 driving licence counts as one training module for truck drivers. These equivalents do not remove other required modules.

Role-by-role endorsed competency catalogue

The following tables retain the role group and every distinct endorsed TSC code in the document. Several course names can lead to the same competency code; select the course relevant to actual duties and the required safety/core category. Recognition of equivalents remains subject to the document’s stated conditions.
