Degree-level and professional qualifications
C2 may award 10 points for qualifications assessed by international recognition bodies, such as UK ENIC, as comparable to a bachelor’s degree, or for industry-recognised professional qualifications endorsed by a relevant sector agency.
Who awards a PEI-delivered degree?
For a degree taught by a PEI but awarded by a recognised overseas partner university, the employer should select the overseas awarding university in the application. The awarding institution must be evaluated by an international recognition body; the teaching provider and awarding institution are not interchangeable.
Non-degree programmes and endorsement
Self-developed PEI diplomas, including postgraduate and professional qualifications, do not receive C2 points by default. A professional qualification may be considered if it is recognised by industry and endorsed by the sector agency. PEIs should approach the agency relevant to the course content for evaluation before seeking inclusion.
