Who the pass covers and who applies
The DP covers legally married spouses and unmarried children below 21 of eligible EP or S Pass holders. The employer or appointed employment agent applies for the dependant.
Validity is limited to the main work pass or the requested duration, whichever is shorter. It is renewable, and the relevant legislation is the Immigration Act.
Work rights, quota and levy
The family pass itself does not require a foreign-worker quota or levy. Eligible holders may work through an appropriate work-pass or consent route; a DP alone is not unrestricted permission to take employment.
