Company name, capital, turnover and address
After updating the company name or paid-up capital with ACRA or the UEN-issuing agency, EP eService records update automatically within two weeks; no separate MOM update is normally needed. Use the online form for urgent transactions. Also inform CPF Board of a name change if the company has a CPF account. Update the company address in EP eService and with CPF Board. Before applications or renewals, provide the last three years of turnover through Work Passes > Quick Menu > Manage organisation profile. An employer with an account must supply this itself, rather than asking an agent; an agent helping an employer without an account can submit a request. The Turnover Available field can be No for an unavailable latest-year figure, a new business or a non-profit organisation.
Business restructuring or related-company transfer
Notify MOM of restructuring that changes CPF submission numbers: changing entity type with at least one director/partner/proprietor moving to the new entity, a full merger/acquisition/amalgamation, or renewal under a different ACRA number despite the same name. Follow the business-entity transfer procedure. For an ordinary transfer to a related Singapore branch, subsidiary or affiliate, first check its S Pass quota, have it apply for a new pass, and cancel the existing pass before the new one is issued. The related company does not need a MyCareersFuture advertisement for that local transfer. Use restructuring notification instead when the move is due to a full merger, acquisition or amalgamation.
Salary changes and family eligibility
For a reduction, request approval at least one month before the intended change. The revised pay must still qualify for the existing pass; otherwise cancel and apply for the appropriate pass. MOM revokes linked DP/LTVP privileges if the new pay fails their eligibility threshold. For an increase, immediate notification is unnecessary unless applying for family privileges; otherwise report it at renewal. To seek family privileges after a rise, submit a request with the preceding three months’ itemised payslips and a clear latest IRAS statement.
Occupation changes and missing holders
Request an occupation update using the nearest match in MOM’s standard occupation lists. Some regulated occupations need a professional-body support letter. MOM emails the outcome within three weeks. If a holder goes missing, file a missing-person police report and cancel the S Pass within one week of discovering the disappearance.
Residential address and mobile number
The employer or holder must update either change within five days or the holder may be penalised. Check that a new address meets housing requirements, update it or the mobile number immediately through EP eService, then print the acknowledgement and give it to the holder to keep with the card.
Passport and other personal particulars
Update passport number and expiry instantly through EP eService; written requests for these two details are no longer accepted. Automated immigration gates can be used four working days after the update. Other particulars require an online request and evidence, with an emailed outcome within seven working days. All listed changes need a passport: a name change also needs evidence such as a deed poll or marriage certificate; a birth-date or birth/origin-country change needs a birth certificate showing date and countries of birth/origin; marital status needs marriage or divorce evidence; Malaysian ID changes need both sides of the Malaysian card. Nationality/citizenship and sex changes use passport evidence.
Changes after approval and former-employee references
Use the specified online form for changes to educational qualifications or work location after approval. After cancellation, an employer may offer a personal reference for the former holder. MOM informs a prospective employer or agent applying for that person and releases the referee’s contact details; they may also speak to the worker. A reference request lasts two years and can be withdrawn at any time. Employer feedback alone cannot ban future employment: MOM requires a proved Singapore-law offence or breach of its regulations. It does not act on non-employment feedback from landlords or housing agents, who may seek legal advice, report to police or resolve matters directly.
